This year in math class, I learned what math realy is. Math is, numbers, variables, percents, equations, probability, gometry, real life situations, but most importantly, FUN!!!!!!! You may think I am doing this to be a kissup for my teacher, but I love math. And I am pretty sure that it is my best class. Because of this, I have fun in math class. I realy do! I wish every class was as fun as math!

Science class
During science class the past few weeks, my class and I have been learning about weather and how it effects our everyday lives. To make class fun (which is pretty hard to do) we made kites and tried to fly them. We couldn't use anything except construction paper and tape. When we went outside, my kite didn't work. And not suprisingly, no one elses did too! The reason why my kite didn't fly was because it wasn't weighed down therefore it would bend in mid air. There was also not a whole lot of local winds. Local winds are winds that effect the city or town you are in. Global winds are winds that could effect the WORLD! Just like the El Nino winds.

Lately in science class........
Recently in science class, a student from Rugters university came to talk to my science class about searching for oil. It is more expensive than it sounds. Each time you dig a hole in the earth, it costs about $1,000,000 to do. If you break a drill, it costs about hte same thing. To help learn about this, the class and I preformed a lab to search for fake oil in a simulated earths surface made of rocks. Each time my lab group and I searched, we didn't find anything. This happens most of the time in real world oil drills. 70% of the time, the drill comes up dry! So if you think about how many time it comes dry and add the money for each hole, it could get very expensive.
